Each month we look to highlight one of our employees and the great work that they do here at Method!
Abby was born in Wabash, Indiana and raised in Katy, Texas. She works in our Houston office as a designer and has worked on various projects including her favorite, Wartsila!
Check out our latest catch up with Abby:
What first interested you in interior design?
When I was a kid I was always rearranging the furniture in my house (even though it made my parents upset) and I was always interested in mixing different fabrics and colors.
I am still very much driven in the same ways. But now, I get to work with real clients in making a space function for their needs.
What is favorite project you are currently working on and why?
Francesca’s. I love working with the client and making their current space function for them and their growth as a company.
What past project are you most proud of and why?
Wartsila. I was still new to the industry and it was a huge project and huge learning experience for me. Dealing with contractors and engineers and making the space functional as well as aesthetically pleasing.
What do you enjoy most about working at Method?
The people are great. It’s definitely a fun working environment that inspires growth as a designer and productivity.
Outside of work, what are your favorite hobbies and things to do?
I draw a lot with charcoal and ink and even sell some of them. I play with my dog, James Dean. I also love to go for runs and attend art shows and concerts. I love to dress up and go to dinner. One of my favorite places is Weights & Measures!
