Each month we look to highlight one of our employees and the great work that they do here at Method!
Angel Gonzales is a Studio Manager for one of our ground-up buildings teams and he grew up in Channelview, Texas! He received his Bachelor of Architecture and minor in Marketing from University of Houston (Go Coogs!).
Check out our latest catch up with Angel:
What first interested you in architecture?
Always had an interest in creating, rearranging space growing up. I was good at math, science and tolerable OCD habits 🙂 Seeing something constructed that was imagined first will always be the best part of my career.
What is your favorite project you are currently working on and why?
MKT (Shepherd Heights) because of its potential contribution to the city. It will be an exciting place to be once it’s all said and done!
What past project are you most proud of and why?
GHX because it allowed us to introduce industrial to Generation Park and set a high standard for anything to follow. All-Star Revolution because we took a simple construction method and created something rather unique to the small scale athletic training world.
What do you enjoy most about working at Method?
Method’s culture is by far the reason I enjoy working here. The work hard, play hard mentality is perfect to do great work and enjoy coming to the office every day.
Outside of work, what are your favorite hobbies and things to do?
Outside of the office, you can find me enjoying time with my family. My wife, and soon to be three daughters make life fun.
I’ll also be rooting for Houston sports teams. One day we’ll get the baseball, football, basketball triple crown I just know it.
