Check out our latest catchup with Kelsey:
What first interested you in architecture?
I grew up around many artists and creative people. In high school, I became intrigued by interesting architecture and interiors. Traveling to major cities in the US and Europe and visiting beautiful historic buildings keeps my interest/passion. I am also inspired by modern architecture and the new possibilities it creates.
What is your favorite current project?
I am working on a sleek, modern coffee shop, café and wine bar in downtown. I am also working on a new “high-end” food hall in downtown which will feature 5 kitchens with a variety of “artisan” food. The food hall will also feature wine and cocktail bars. This is somewhat of a new concept to the Houston area which is exciting.
What project are you most proud of?
A variety of breweries including Baileson Brewery which just opened. It was a fun project that I was very interested in because I enjoy visiting small local craft breweries.
Outside of work, what are your favorite hobbies and things to do?
I love hanging out with family, friends, and my dog. I love yoga, traveling, spending time outdoors and discovering new places!
