Sematech

Sematech is a state-of-the-art research consortium created to assure leadership in American semiconductor research
and manufacturing technology. Researchers are developing advanced manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment and are validating their finds in a proofing facility that simulates the production line’s intensity. The results of the research will go to member companies, who then apply them commercially. The center features a 132,800 SF Fab with a mechanical penthouse, cleanrooms, testing and development areas, a wastewater treatment facility, below-grade tunnels for utility distribution, an above-grade steel frame for overhead utilities, site utilities, and an office building.
