Austin, TX – [June, 3 2025] – Method Architecture is proud to announce the appointment of Sam Hero as the new Studio Manager of its Austin office. In tandem with this move, Hero has also been named Associate Principal, joining the firm’s senior leadership team
Hero began his career with Method Architecture in 2013 and has continually exemplified the values of the firm through his leadership, client focus, and dedication to impactful design. After an initial five-year tenure at Method, Hero expanded his experience in the education sector, working with PBK and Lone Star College on a range of K-12 and higher education projects.
In 2023, he returned to Method’s Houston office, where he has since led the firm’s largest project to date: the $122 million Shonto Preparatory School, a Bureau of Indian Affairs school replacement in Shonto, Arizona. This project exemplifies Hero’s expertise in managing complex projects with cultural significance.
In addition to his leadership in the education sector, Hero brings deep experience in industrial and manufacturing work. His past projects include the UPS Willowbrook Package Sorting Facility, Beltway Crossing Northwest, and CityPark Logistics Center in Houston and other large-scale logistical centers. In his new role, he will continue to lead projects in these specialized sectors while also spearheading Method’s tribal work through Blue Arrow Studio, a dedicated practice within Method Architecture focused on Indigenous clients and culturally responsive design.
