HINU FACILITIES IMPROVEMENTS

The contract scope of work included Planning and 20% schematic design for a facilities improvement and repair project as established by the BIA Department of Facility Management & Construction. The intent of the SOW was to provide a 20% Schematic Design package to investigate campus FI&R projects to include wastewater piping replacements, complete interior renovations, roof replacements, loading dock replacement, storefront glazing replacement and fire alarm systems replacement. Additional campus site utility work includes the replacement of cast iron wastewater lines. These projects are to be constructed at various locations throughout HINU campus and will be coordinated according to campus priority and operations.

The scope of work was built from 10 existing work orders within the BIE Maximo system.

These included:

• Full interior renovation of historic Hiawatha Hall. Our team created extensive as-builts through the use of 3D scanning and manual instruments. We developed 2-3 conceptual layouts based on meetings with school staff.
• North & South Winnemucca Hall – Replace Single-ply membrane roof. Our team created as-builts and SD drawings and narratives.
• Blalock Hall – Storefront entrance and vestibule replacements. Our team created as-builts and SD drawings and narratives.
• Campus Utilities – Replace 8” cast iron sewer pipes. Our team researched and evaluated existing conditions and provided engineer narratives for schematic design.
• Pocahontas Hall – Replace wastewater piping from basement to second floor. Our team researched and evaluated existing conditions and prepared schematic design drawings.
• American Horse Hall – Loading dock replacement. Our team researched and evaluated existing conditions and prepared architectural and engineer schematic drawings and narratives.
• Blalock Hall – Replace wastewater piping – Our team researched and evaluated existing conditions and prepared schematic design drawings.
• Roe Cloud Hall – Replace fire alarm system. Our team researched and evaluated existing conditions and prepared schematic design drawings.
