Method Architecture Designs Tesla-Leased Industrial Facility in Taylor, Texas
A newly completed 183,340-square-foot industrial facility in Taylor, Texas, designed by Method Architecture, has been acquired by entities tied to Manulife Investment Management Holdings Inc. The state-of-the-art, rail-served building—located in the 750-acre RCR Taylor Logistics Park—is fully leased to Tesla Inc. under a 10-year agreement, underscoring the region’s strength as a hub for advanced manufacturing and logistics.
Developed by Partners Real Estate and built by EE Reed Construction, the Class A facility sits on a 14-acre site strategically positioned along U.S. Highway 79 near Samsung Electronics’ massive campus. Method Architecture led the architectural design, with Artengineering Ltd. providing civil engineering and Cadence Bank handling project banking. Key features include:
- Four dock-high doors and eight grade-level doors
- Full HVAC buildout
- Five industrial cranes
- Rail entry door for streamlined freight operations
The property plays a key role in supporting Tesla’s automotive shipping operations, which utilize the park’s auto ramp to transport vehicles from its nearby gigafactory. The development also aligns with Samsung’s $16.5 billion supplier agreement with Tesla, set to commence in 2026.
This milestone reflects the growing demand for high-quality industrial assets in Central Texas and highlights Method Architecture’s expertise in delivering innovative, large-scale industrial design solutions tailored for modern manufacturing and distribution.
