Austin, TX – The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) named Bonita Tice Gray, AIA LEED AP BD+C, Director of Sustainability and Quality at Method Architecture to the 2022 class of LEED Fellows. The LEED Fellow Program is the green building industry’s most prestigious professional designation. The LEED Fellow designation recognizes exceptional contributions to green building and significant professional achievement within the rapidly growing community of LEED Professionals.
Bonny is among 20 of the world’s most distinguished green building professionals to be selected this year as a LEED Fellow. LEED Fellows are nominated by their peers and must demonstrate at least 10 years’ worth of exceptional impact with LEED. Nominees undergo an extensive review of their portfolios by an Evaluation Committee. The committee then presents its recommended slate to the GBCI Board of Directors for approval. LEED Fellow designation is the highest recognition achievable for a LEED professional in the green building industry, recognizing outstanding accomplishments and marking a career high point.
During her career, Bonny has made significant contributions to the green building industry, specifically in Texas. Some of her achievements include:
- Administrator of many diverse LEED and Austin Energy Green Building (AEGB) Projects
- Author/Liaison for SXSW Eco from 2013-2016
- USGBC Central Texas Co-Chair/Executive Board Member 2012 – 2016

- Author/speaker for many sustainable lectures at major universities and creator of the LEEDv4 Green Associate Professionals class
- Author/Creator of the Texas Green School Symposium from 2009 – 2012
