For more than two decades, Method Architecture has been proud to support CREDA Houston and its mission to strengthen Houston’s commercial real estate community through connection, education, and shared industry knowledge.
That partnership has also created opportunities to develop practical resources for the professionals shaping our region.
From Industry Resource to Interactive Tool
Ten years ago, Method partnered with NAIOP (Now CREDA) Houston’s Development & Construction Committee to create CREDA D&C Resources, a collection of quick-reference tools designed for developers and professionals across the commercial real estate, architecture, engineering, and construction industries.
The resource brought together useful information on topics including:
Industry terminology
Land development
Permitting and platting requirements
No-zoning letters
Common room sizes
The architectural design process
Other frequently referenced development information
As NAIOP Houston has evolved into the Commercial Real Estate Development Association (CREDA) and launched its refreshed website, the Development & Construction Committee saw an opportunity to rethink how this information could better serve today’s users. The result is the new Permit Requirements Search Tool.
Making Houston-Area Permitting Information Easier to Find
The updated tool provides a faster, more accessible way to research permitting information for jurisdictions throughout the Greater Houston area.
Users can quickly find:
Municipal contact information
Permitting requirements
Currently adopted building codes
Direct links to municipal codes of ordinances
By consolidating commonly needed information into a searchable resource, the tool is designed to help developers, architects, contractors, consultants, and other project team members navigate the early stages of development more efficiently.
More Than 20 Years of Partnership
Method’s involvement with CREDA spans more than 20 years and includes membership, sponsorship, board service, committee leadership, and participation in mentorship programs.
For us, that involvement reflects a broader commitment to supporting the industries and communities we serve—not only through our project work, but also by sharing knowledge and helping create tools that make the development process more informed and accessible.
We’re proud to continue partnering with CREDA as it builds relationships, creates educational resources, and helps move Houston’s commercial real estate industry forward.
