Method Architecture Announces Promotion of Katherine Rorie to Principal

Houston, TX – [July 07, 2025] – Method Architecture is announcing the promotion of Katherine Rorie, AIA, to the role of Principal. In her new position, Rorie will continue leading market operations while shaping strategic growth and operational excellence through her continued involvement in the firm’s senior leadership team.

Katherine joined Method Architecture in 2011, originally serving as a designer on the firm’s tenant interiors team. As the firm evolved, so did Katherine’s leadership path—first as department lead for interiors, then expanding into ground-up architectural projects, and currently overseeing multiple teams as Director of Market Operations. Her comprehensive expertise and commitment to quality have played a critical role in the firm’s development and reputation for technical excellence.

With deep knowledge in building codes and technical standards, Rorie has overseen successful projects in a range of industries, including industrial, retail, restaurant, and craft brewery design—one of Method’s signature niches. Her portfolio of local work spans a wide range of project types across Houston and beyond. Notable brewery and distillery projects include True Anomaly, Baileson Brewing, Urban South, Galveston Bay Brewing Co., and William Price Distilling.

In the industrial sector, she has contributed to developments such as Connection Park, Pederson Road, Fairbanks, and Thompson Road—all in collaboration with Triten Real Estate Partners—as well as the East End Maker Hub.

Her tribal project experience includes all current work for the Three Affiliated Tribes (TMBCI), Crystal Boarding School, and the Shonto Community School.

She has also worked on unique retail and hospitality spaces like Bravery Chef Hall and Pearland Coffee Roasters.

Katherine holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design from Texas A&M University and a Master of Architecture from the University of Houston.

“We are incredibly proud to recognize Katherine’s years of leadership, innovation, and mentorship with this promotion,” said Jackie Rye, Partner at Method Architecture. “Her influence is seen across our operations and culture. This is a well-earned step forward, and we are excited for what’s ahead.”
